Assessment 2.3.2
 

Assessment 2.3.2  consists of created views that must be placed onto sheets to prepare a set of 9 printable construction drawings and tables of specification (3D model & 2D views).

Please ensure all views and tables are appropriately labelled and include a cover page.

Detailed instructions for all the steps are given in the table below. Please refer to the Assessment 2 – Mr.  Jacob House PDF document for the layout of the Model to be constructed on Revit found in the Assessment 2 Files Folder. Revit families, templates, and other essential information to model the required house are also provided in that folder.

Sheet (A01) Title Page (1%)

Provide THE TITLE PAGE (list of sheets to be provided, as shown on Page A01).

Also, it should include ONE 3D View of the Building Exterior.

Not multiple 3D perspective views, please.

3D View should be resized to fill up the sheet

  Sheet (A02) Roof Plan (2%) Provide ONE VIEW of the Roof Plan (annotations, tags, etc., to be provided, as shown on Page A06).  
  Sheet (A03) Orthographic Drawings (2%) Provide ONE VIEW of the Ground Floor Plan (dimensions, annotations, tags, etc., to be provided, as shown on Page 3).  
Sheet (A04) Colour Fill Legend (1%)

Add the Ground Floor Plan with the Colour Fill Legend based on the Rooms on one sheet.

Room tags need to be provided on this view.

Sheet (A05) Sections (2%)

Add the TWO Sections Views on one sheet.

Both sections must contain detailed dimensions, annotations & levels.

 
Sheets (A06 & A07) Elevations (2%)

Add the FOUR Elevation Views on two separate sheets (2 views each).

The Elevation Views are to be detailed as shown on Page 7.

Basic Schedules for Floor and Door

(1%)

Add the Floor and Door Schedules created on one sheet.

Resize the table and increase the font size to fill the sheet.

Sheet (A09) Material Take-off for Walls and Windows

(1%)

Add the Walls and Windows Material Take-off Schedules on ONE sheet.

Resize the table and increase the font size to fill the sheet. If Schedules can’t fit on a single sheet add an extra Sheet.

Constructing Roof

Create a 3D Roof based on the profile of dotted roof lines on the Floor Plan (page 3) and Roof Plan (page 6).

·  Overhang (Eaves) is 450mm,

·  Roof pitch will be set at 22.5° and will be metal roof sheets as indicated on Page 6.

The ceiling is not required to be created and edited.

·    Elevation: Provide FOUR (4) Elevations (Front, Rear, Right & Left) examples shown on Page 7.

  • Ground Floor Plan (as per Page 3)
  • Section & Elevation views (as per Page 7)

Provide Slope Annotation for Roof on Elevation views.

Incorporate a Colour Fill Legend to Rooms and Areas on ONE Floor Plan based on the Rooms provided on page 3 (duplicate plan view & only include room tags).

Create separate Schedules for Floors and Doors:
1.    Floor: Count, Family and Type, Volume
2.    Door: Count, Family and Type, Width
Create Material Take-off Schedules for Windows & Walls:
3.    Wall: Family and Type, Material: Name, Area
Window: Family and Type, Material: Name, Width
